Wings Activities

This years Wings Appeal street collection will be held on Saturday, 15th September, 2007. Unfortunately this years collection has been hampered by admistration problems but collectors will be out in Weaver Square, Northwich and outside Sainsbury's Store on that Saturday. As well as the street collection the Northwich Branch holds events to raise funds for the Appeal. The longest running of these is a charity concert by the local Roberts Bakery Band held in the Memorial Hall, Northwich, this year on Sunday 16th September, starting at 7:30pm. The second event is a Line Dancing evening organized by Lynn and Steve Kryger. However, the jewel in the crown is the annual sponsored walk by Branch President, Eric Sawyer. Eric's exploits over this past twenty five years are well known, first walking from Northwich to RAF Sealand, then, after Sealand was closed, from Northwich to Chester Cathedral raising thousands of pounds in the process. Anyone wishing to sponsor Eric for this years walk should contact Eric or the Branch who will be more trhan willing to take your money.

Any volunteers to help out with the street collection on Saturday 15th September should contact any of the Branch committee or go straight to Steve Kryger who will give you all the appropriate gen
